Water Availability
At Geo Costa Rica, we offer our clients the complete process for obtaining water availability for their project through the Water Concession. We have experience in the processing of permits for the use of water resources, through the capture of surface water in rivers, streams and others, as well as groundwater from springs or also the drilling of water wells.
Costa Rica is a country that has an abundance of water resources. However, in municipalities, it has been inconvenient to grant construction permits for reasons of availability of water resources. The water supply is a decisive factor when it comes to investing. If water availability is not available, it is impossible to grant building permits.
The approval to develop a project is granted by the municipalities, based on the availability of water that is certified by Aqueducts and Sewers (AyA) or the Administrative Associations of the Aqueduct and Sewer Systems, also known as ASADAS, which provide the liquid in the locality where the project is intended to be developed.
If required, we have strategic alliances with various drilling companies throughout the national territory with extensive experience in the drilling of water wells, likewise, we process the environmental viability to obtain the water concession and comply with the requirement of water availability needed in the processing of permits for the development of activities, works or projects.
We offer the complete process from the technical and legal advice, the request of Water Concession in the Water Directorate of the MIANE, the well drilling process, the Environmental viability of SETENA, the preparation of hydrogeological studies for SENARA, in case of necessary, and the follow-up from the entry of the application to the complete resolution of the management to obtain the Water Concession.
