Procedures at SENARA
The National Service of Groundwater, Irrigation and Drainage (SENARA), created by Law N ° 6877 of July 18, 1983, is a strategic institution of managing water resources in the country.
The Directorate of Water Research and Management (DIGH) of SENARA's mission are the research, control, monitoring and promotion of the integrated management of water resources to prevent their deterioration and minimize the effects of exploitation.
Among the functions of the DIGH is the review of technical pronouncements regarding the drilling and exploitation of wells, springs, hydrogeological studies carried out by users, as well as maintenance policies and protection of ground and surface water.
