Procedures in the Directorate of Geology and Mines

The Directorate of Geology and Mines (DGM) is created through Law N ° 6797 of the "Mining Code" of October 4, 1982, this institution is responsible for the delivery and monitoring of mining concessions and control of the activity illegal mining allowing the rational use of mining resources.

The National Mining Registry (RNM) is the Department responsible for the processing of applications for permits and concessions, the organization and operation of a public registry, as well as the registration of permits, concessions, reductions, extensions, resignations, annulments, expiration, and other acts related to mining activities.

In Geo Costa Rica we carry out all the procedures to obtain the mining exploitation permits granted by the DGM, we carry out the following procedures:
